Tips on Flat Panel TVs

I guess the white dots are referred to as “trash” and its because the quality of the plasma screen can pick up more than a regular tv. Is there a way to stop this?

I already have them connected…both with HDMI..my LCD has two HDMI one for the ps3 and the other for the home theatre….when i play ps3 the sound comes from only one small speaker and the subwoofer…but not for the others….my home theatre is 5.1

I’m considering purchashing a flat panel TV for my bedroom. I have a large room so the size must be big, say at least a 40″.
My questions are:
1, Can a large flat panel TV be hung from a wall without any extra support to the studs?
2, Which one do you suggest?
3, Any “horror stories” you’ld be willing to give me about TV’s op on a wall would be appreciated. Not to be unsympathetic, but I’d like to learn from others’ mistakes.
4. Any comments about the idea?

I have a regular old tv and I’m pretty good at GH3… but every time I try it on my friend’s Samsung flat panel tv, I feel like the timing is different. It’s like I have to hit the notes sooner on the flat panel… Am I crazy or has anyone else noticed this??

I have my new set hooked up to DirecTV with the HD DVR and HD dish. HiDef channels look great. But the rest of the channels at times look like s__t. I’ve fooled with all the adjustments in the TV. I’m also told that all channels will soon be HiDef and at that time a new DVR and dish will be required. Supposedly this is happening soon. Anyone know when this will happen and should I hold off on it until the bugs are worked out?
