I’m going to be purchasing a flat screen TV this week and need some opinions. I have my search narrowed down to 2 TV’s.

Which will display a better picture? I will be using the TV for gaming mostly but also watch a lot of hd dvd’s. The plasma has a much better contrast ratio but its 720p compared to 1080p on the LCD. The price is about the same for both 1,497 for the Phillips & 1,398 for the Polaroid. I’m not sure what the refresh rate on either is though, I couldn’t find it on the net. Any input would be greatly appreciated
