Sorry gp4rts, this is a problem that can and, obviously, does affect LCD HDTVs. Your problem lies with the drivers that bias the color sub-pixels of your LCD screen. These drivers are what allows a tech to properly calibrate the color of an LCD screen. When a single diver or the power feed that supports this driver fails, a single primary color (blue, red or green) can become distorted or inaccurate. It is a fixable problem and should not cost any where near the cost of a replacement 37" LCD HDTV. In fact, it could be as simple as a single failed capacitor. Contact a local service tech experienced in Sharp Aquos TVs to schedule a repair. Taking the TV into a repair shop should cost you less than requesting in-home service.

You should contact Sharp. This should not happen to an LCD, it is a problem with the internal electronics. Unless you have extended it, the set is out of warranty, but I would call Sharp anyway and complain; maybe they will help you out. Repair is probably not cost effective since 37" LCD TVs have come down in price so much.
