I have a dvd player in my bedroom but not in my living room. It’s a pain in the *** to move and I would rather not spend any more money to buy a new one if my laptop will do it for me.

Im renting a flat panel TV for the super bowl and when i hooked it up to my sattilite the picture is blurry, kinda like its under water. They didnt give me any extra hook ups so i just used my cable off of the sattelite dvr box. Do I need another cable or is the TV itself messed up?
