I wonder if your HDMI port is an input or an output….

If it’s an output, all you do is connect it to your HDMI port on your amp, set up the sound card to deliver audio to the HDMI output instead of your computer speakers, and you should be set….

And don’t forget to set your amp’s input to use the HDMI input for audio

You know….set the TV input to read the HDMI port you are connected to…..

It’s called “Assigning your inputs” on the instruction manual’s chapter for it…..
